Cette semaine, la Mondiathèque vous invite à vous amuser avec “Les Visiteurs”, un film réalisé par Jean-Marie Poiré à qui l’on doit notamment “L’Opération Corned-Beef” et “Les Anges Gardiens”. Ce film figure comme l’un des plus grands succès du cinéma français avec plus de treize millions d’entrées lors de sa sortie. Un deuxième volet est également sorti en 1997.

Résumé : En 1123, Godefroy tue accidentellement le père de sa promise. Pour espérer gagner le cœur de sa belle, il rend visite au mage Eusebius qui lui propose de remonter le temps pour empêcher la tragédie. Malheureusement, rien ne va se passer comme prévu : Godefroy et son serviteur Jacquouille se retrouvent en 1992. Ils découvrent alors avec stupéfaction que le monde qu’ils connaissaient a beaucoup changé…

Le saviez-vous ? Valérie Lemercier a reçu un César pour sa performance dans ce film.

Synopsis:The year’s 1223. Godefroy accidentally kills the father of his fiancée. He is shattered but a mage has an idea that would give him a chance to change the past: Godefroy would be sent through time back to the moment before the tragedy. But things don’t go right: he and his servant Jacquouille are transported to the year 1992. They discover a totally different world.

FAUBOURG 36 de Christophe Barratier

De nouveaux DVD sont disponibles à la Mondiathèque : cette semaine, venez découvrir l’un d’entre eux. “Faubourg 36″ est le deuxième film de Christophe Barratier, qui avait auparavant réalisé “Les choristes”. Il y réunit de grands acteurs tels que Gérard Jugnot, Kad Merad, Clovis Cornillac et Pierre Richard.

Résumé : En 1936, trois compagnons au chômage décident d’occuper le music-hall dans lequel ils travaillaient pour monter un grand spectacle. Les débuts sont difficiles, mais l’arrivée d’une jeune et jolie artiste pourrait bien apporter quelque chose à l’équipe…

BANLIEUE 13

La Mondiathèque vous propose de nouveaux DVD chaque semaine. Cette fois-ci, venez découvrir “Banlieue 13″, un film de Pierre Morel sorti en 2004 (classification : 14+). Luc Besson, célèbre cinéaste français, a co-produit et co-écrit le film. Une suite intitulée “Banlieue 13 Ultimatum” a été tournée sous la direction de Patrick Alessandrin en 2009.

Résumé : Damien, membre d’une escouade d’élite, se voit confier une mission des plus dangereuses : avec l’aide d’un criminel répondant au nom de Leïto, il doit retrouver une arme de destruction massive que la bande la plus dangereuse de la Banlieue 13 a cachée.

New DVDs have been added to our collection. This week, come discover District 13, a movie directed by Pierre Morel which was released in 2004 (rating: R).
