|Learn French Efficiently with the ALTER EGO Method
ALTER EGO + NEW EDITION WILL BE INTRODUCED IN 2013!
ALTER EGO is a modern an innovative French language method for adults. With a text book and an exercise book for homework, it represents a very structured, practical and comprehensive approach. The student has its own CD, and DVDs are used in class. Each book corresponds to a 120 hours of instruction.
From basic to proficient, our programs follow the European Linguistic Standards (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and stress the four communication skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Finding the right course level :
Basic A1 – BREAKTHROUGH
Achieve a basic level of proficiency allowing you to understand and use daily expressions in the present tense. Introduce yourself, ask and answer simple questions about personal matters, and express likes and dislikes.
Basic A2 – WAYSTAGE
Communicate with simple and commonly used sentences, perform routine tasks such as describing objects, making a purchase and discussing familiar topics. Relate past events and talk about future projects.
Independent B1 – THRESHOLD
Understand the main points of clear standard comments on familiar matters regularly encountered at work, school, leisure, etc. Present your résumé, express feelings, relate events, negotiate and give opinions.
Independent B2 – VANTAGE
Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, and produce clear, detailed texts and messages on a wide range of subjects.
Proficient C1 – EFFECTIVE OPERATIONAL PROFICIENCY
You can use language flexibility and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
Proficient C2 – MASTERY
You can express yourself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely.

HOW TO REGISTER?
A free placement test (both written and oral) is offered to determine your level of proficiency and introduce you to our programmes. Click on the link you can find on the right side of this page.
10 week sessions are offered and classes are scheduled once or twice a week, morning or evening, or on Saturday mornings.
Emphasis is on communication and a maximum of 10 students per class ensure the active participation of all.

Tuition fees: $310 per course (Fees effective from January 1st to December 31st, 2013)
Material: $55 (textbook, CD and exercise book). Each textbook covers 4 to 5 levels. (Fees effective from January 1st to December 31st, 2013)
