FEES & CONDITIONS
TUITION FEES 2018
Alter Ego+ Classes (10 weeks): $ 320.00
French for Professionals (10 weeks): $ 320.00
Private Classes: $50.00 an hour (please see us for package options)
Semi-Private Classes: $62.00 an hour (please see us for package options)
Shift Into French – 14 week private online course: $ 850.00 for one student
Children’s Classes : We Speak French (3 to 4 years old) $ 110.00 for 8 weeks (45 min class) I Speak French – 5 to 6 years old: $ 110.00 for 8 weeks (45 min class)
Les Loustics – 7 years old: $175.00 for 10 weeks (1 hr class)
Les Loustics – 8 to 11 years old: $ 200.00 for 10 weeks (1.5 hrs per class)
Adosphère (for teens): $ 200.00 for 10 weeks (1.5 hrs per class)
Students are requested to pay the full tuition and book fees (where applicable) prior to the start of the session.
Reservations will be held up until a week prior to the first day of class, but do not guarantee a place in the class.
REGISTRATION FEE 2018
There is a compulsory yearly registration/user fee of $25.00 which gives students access to the centre’s resources: Mondiathèque and Culturethèque.
No GST is applied to tuition fees.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Interac, Visa or MasterCard.
A $30 fee will be charged for «non-sufficient funds » cheques.
When a student’s employer is paying course fees, an invoice will be issued at the time of registration.
Early Bird Special : Current students enrolled in an Alter Ego+ class will benefit from a 10% discount if they register at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the next session.
Members of the Alliance Française get 10% discount on any Alter Ego courses.
No accumulation of discounts is possible.
Private or semi-private classes require a 24-hour cancellation notice, or the fee for the class will be invoiced.
Alliance Française reserves the right to cancel any course or reduce the number of instructional hours, should there be fewer than six students registered for a group course.
Credit will not be granted for missed classes.
If a student is forced to withdraw from a course before mid-session for reasons beyond his/her control, credit may be granted after a written notice of withdrawal is received by Alliance Française. All classes up to and including the date of the credit note request will be deducted from the remaining instructional hours.
An administration fee of $25 will be deducted from the value of the credit note.
Books and yearly registration fee will be deducted from the credit note.
Credits will only apply towards registration for another course.
Credits cannot be transferred to another person
Credits are valid for the current year only.
Students are not entitled to a credit note for a course where a previous credit was used as full or partial payment of course fees.
All tuition fees are non-refundable unless a student provides Alliance Française with written notice that he/she intends to withdraw from a course at least 1 week prior to the start of the applicable session or 1 week prior to the start of the class.
An administration fee of $50 will automatically be deducted from the refund amount.
Yearly registration fee and books are not refundable.
MISSED CLASSES and MAKE-UP CLASSES
When a group class is missed, homework will be sent to the student.
For an additional fee of $45 per hour, make-up classes are available for registered students who miss classes, or for whom the teacher thinks it is necessary before starting the next level.
Make-up class must be scheduled a week in advance at the front desk.
ALTER EGO+ PROGRAM BREAKDOWN*
for participants aged 16 and up
Eligibility to the next level of Alter Ego+ classes depends on :
· 30 hours for a group of 6 to 10 participants.
· 25 hours for a group of 4 to 5 participants.
· 20 for a group of 3 participants.
· 15 for a group of 2 participants.
